About
Monarch Academy

At Monarch Academy, we believe childhood is not a race.

it’s a journey of transformation.

Inspired by the monarch butterfly, our students begin with curiosity, grow through exploration, and emerge as confident, capable learners ready to take on the world.

Our approach blends the warmth and child-centered philosophy of Nordic education with the academic excellence expected in Ontario.

We have created a school where structure meets freedom, where strong literacy and math foundations coexist with creativity, independence, and joy.

From Preschool through Grade 8, every child at Monarch Academy is known, supported, and challenged—academically, socially, and emotionally.

At Monarch Academy, we asked a simple but powerful question:

What if children didn’t have to choose between academic excellence and happiness?

Too often, schools lean too far in one direction—either highly structured and stressful, or flexible but lacking academic rigor. We believe families deserve both.

Our model was thoughtfully designed to combine the strongest elements of global education—particularly the child-centered, well-being-focused approach seen in Nordic countries—with the proven academic standards expected here in Ontario.

The result is a school where children feel safe to take risks, excited to learn, and proud of their progress.

When children feel seen, supported, and inspired, they don’t just succeed—they thrive.

We invite you to experience the Monarch difference.

Warmly,

Agnes  Lewczuk
The Principal
Monarch Academy

Our Vision

To redefine elementary education in Ontario by creating a school where children are not only prepared for academic success—but are confident, compassionate, and capable individuals ready to thrive in an ever-changing world.

Our Mission

To provide a balanced, future-ready education that nurtures the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally—while fostering curiosity, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning.

🌱 Nurture (Early Years: Preschool, JK/SK)

Children learn through play, exploration, and relationships as academic foundations are introduced. We build confidence, language, and social skills in a joyful, low-pressure environment.

🐛 Build (Primary Years: Grades 1–3)

Students develop strong academic foundations in literacy and numeracy while exploring the world through inquiry and hands-on learning.

🦋 Transform (Junior / Senior Years: Grades 4–8)

Students gain independence, critical thinking skills, and the confidence to take ownership of their learning.
